낡고 오래된 기억과 경험의 재해석
서유라 작가에게 '책'이라는 소재는 세월 속의 기억이자 삶이다.
책장에 차곡차곡 테트리스 되어있거나, 또는 펼쳐지고 닫힌 책의 위치가 어떠한 형상으로 보이기도 한다.
한편 어지러운 책의 배치 속에 제목을 들여다 보면 유사한 내용과 분류, 체계, 질서 안에 작가가 선택하여 배치 했음을 알 수 있으며
작가의 의도에 의해 의해 정연하게 자리하고 있다.
과거의 시간, 경험의 지층, 기억의 심층에서 퍼 올린 낡은 것들은 현재적 지평에서 종합되어 새로운 의미를 얻고 있다.
